Informal Providers

In order to participate in the POC program, you must have a criminal background check, as do all providers in licensed centers and registered family child care homes. This will be conducted at your local DSS office.

In addition, all POC customers must verify that their children are age-appropriately immunized (up to date on their shots). The process for achieving this for children in informal care is still being considered. You may be asked to help in the verification process, as center and child care homes do.
