What
is Maryland Children's Health Program?
The Maryland
Children's Health Program provides health insurance
coverage for average to low-income children and pregnant women.
Those eligible for this program will receive assistance in
selecting a primary health care provider from HealthChoice-
an existing state-wide managed care program.
Who is eligible
for the Maryland Children's Health program?
Children under the age
of 19 and pregnant women of any age may be eligible for this
program if their family income is at or below 200 percent

Are Adults Covered
by this Program?
Only children up to
the age of 19 and pregnant women of any age are covered.
What Medical
Services are included?
The Maryland Children's
Health Program is comprehensive and will provide children
and pregnant women with a wide range of health care services
such as:

How do
you apply for the Program?
It is easy to apply! Applications
are available from your Local
Health Department and other places like the Maryland
Child Care Resource Network regional child care resource
centers, school-based health centers, Head Start, WIC Centers
or Departments
of Social Services . The application is simple to
fill out. You can mail it in or drop if off at your
Local Health Department. Applicants eligible for
the program will receive an enrollment packet in the mail
so that they can choose a managed care organization (MCO).
