OPERATION CHILD CARE

Will be introduced to National Guard & Reserve Members at key staging areas during their debriefing process prior to returning to their families.

  • Once arriving home, Service Members will contact Child Care Aware to register
  • Child Care Aware will locate the Service Member's local CCR&R
  • The local CCR&R will simply supply the Service Member who is seeking donated child care with a list of participating providers in his or her town who have agreed to meet the requested day and time
  • Service members will be required to show proof of eligibility or military orders to providers and additional information such as immunization records and emergency contact information.

RECOGNITION FOR PROVIDERS

Participating child care providers will be recognized in the following ways:

  • Receive certificates of appreciation signed by an appropriate Military General Officer
  • Receive a sign or symbol of participation to hang outside or on an interior wall
  • An entry into The Honor Roll of Child Care Providers that will be submitted for publishing in the Congressional Record
  • Recognition in a special section of the Child Care Aware Web Site
  • Coupon books and other itmes from national sponsors
  • Lapel pins
  • Merchandise credit from Kaplan Early Learning $10 each 1/2 day of donated care
